All of our children and their families visited this past week.
We had so much fun!!!!
We get to see some of them regularly but some of our kids live far away, and cannot come over often.
We loved every minute of the visit!!!!
and wave pools and picnics…
We played badminton, baseball, wiffle ball and soccer….
We ran, jumped….and watched movies, had popcorn, ice cream and s’mores.
(We almost totally ran out of popsicles!)
…We did art and wood projects.
….and we had lots of fun!
I enjoy their enthusiasm and laughter, and the multitude of hugs!!!!!!!!!!
We had a good garden this year, and they helped harvest lots of veggies.
We painted rocks. They love to work with wood, and they helped grampa work on a handful of projects in the tool room.
There had some really cool ‘built-for-small-hands’ real-live-tools…and safety goggles, and some Grampa sized tools…
They made and sharpened a simple knife, making a nice black handle…
and some other fun projects.
They made cute hedgehogs, by cutting the wood, drilling some holes and nailing some nails…
(and one of them added google eyes and red nose, but I can’t find the photo that I took of it…it was so cute!)
Sasha started a book…and he asked if I could help him publish it.
He called it: HOW TO BUILD A BLOCK BUILDING
And, he is still working on it, (so that is the working title).
He took some photos and drew some things…he’s a very creative kid.
……..I know he still has a way to go on this project…
but, I can’t help but feel proud of him and his efforts…and start to show you what he is working on.
And when it’s complete, I’ll show you that also.
Thanks for joining me today.
