Here’s a fun little guy, that I drew a few years ago for a birthday card for one of my fantastic grandsons.
This week you’ll be able to download a Dot-to-Dot of the Birthday Frog.
This little frog was drawn with pencil and I used a sharpie to add some line and then erased the pencil…but, when I started to ‘paint’ the frog in….rather than go all the way to the other side of my ART Studio (LOL, we’re talking 10-15 feet here, I can be such a lazybones sometimes!)…I thought I’d try my COPIC markers (actually, the non-brand named version from BLICK and BTW: these are NOT refillable like the Copic ones are). I use:
Well, they worked fine except that in some places it ‘blurred’ the sharpie and caused some dirty-looking spots.
Lesson learned:
I usually add my finished line with a non-water based (alcohol based) marker, like a sharpie…and then use water colors or colored pencils to add the color… (Apparently, I wasn’t using my noggin this particular day) and made both line & coloring with alcohol based markers. So they mushed together.
You can download a copy of this dot-to-dot birthday frog here and have some fun with your kids.
Counting, finishing the drawing and then coloring it in. Just be a little more thoughtful about what tools you use, than I was. LOL
Enjoy the dot-to-dot!
