In most of my stories I use these trees, and I called them rozan trees because when I was in art school (years ago!) I used to sign my name “Rozan”. This was how my Slovak grandmother spelled (phonetically) my name. I also added a line over the ‘o’ to make it a long vowel sound. Thus Rosanne. (crazy, I know)
So, now that you know all of the boring details, here’s is how I draw them. They are good for background foliage in my paintings, and I like to make them colorful.
Remember to always start any drawing with a Whisper Line…
