Several of our grandsons live out of the country so we haven’t seen them in person to hug and love on them since March!!! We miss them so much! I can’t wait to see them in person, but…we spend a lot of time on Skype or FaceTime with them!
We’ve been doing a lot of crafting, paper airplane making, beading, drawing…we’ve watched them jump on the trampoline and go swimming and flying kites and on and on…us Grammas and Grampas love this stuff, right?
…but what we’ve done this past week is a lot of fun! MODELING CLAY!!!!! And more specifically: Crayola Model Magic modeling clay! Now THIS is an awesome Gramma time!
This clay is clean, and not too difficult to work with…so its great for kids!
We bought a big container for the boys, and we bought a smaller one for us.
The tricky part of this clay is that you must keep it in the container or a zip lock bag if you don’t want it to dry out.
But, if you want it to dry out (which is cool because it turns into this tuff marshmallow like substance), and is not sticky at all! It dries in about a day. So, when you’re done with your project let it sit out in a safe place to dry for about a day!
Well, I am not the best at sculpting…but, I had a great time! Here are a few of my great artworks. LOL
I got a snap of one of theirs:
and then, of course: break time.
When we make a few more, I’ll post them to show you.
You can get this fun clay (Crayola Model Magic) pretty much anywhere, but the box I have I got at Joanns with a 50% coupon. It ended up being only $7 or $8 bucks. This particular box has a handful of different colors, but the color-packages are very small (3 oz each).
But, even still, it was so much fun to play with, and the boys loved it!
We had a wonderful time together!

Have a great day with your kids!
