I’m a character in a really cool steampunk graphic novel!
Here’s what I look like dressed as my character, Hannah Burrell in the book: Hecock, Jinx the Junket, I love it!
I loved it so much that I had to share it with you!
A friend of mine, Leda Miller, is working on the series…based on the life of her husband’s great uncle, who was a hero during a tragic event. The uncle’s name was Burrell Hecock and in 1912, while saving the lives of three other people, he lost his own life…when the ice bridge in Niagara Falls broke lose.
It’s a great story and beautiful artwork.
She likes to use real people to model for her characters; and in the back of the second volume, she has a couple of pages of portraits of the ‘cast-members’ and here’s what mine looks like.
The story takes place in the early 1900s and my character is an old old lady…even older than I am…but, well…it was fun being part of such a cool project!
You can see more about this book here and could even get a copy for yourself, but…no matter what you do, you owe it to yourself to check out the wonderful artwork on her site.
Enjoy!
