Simple Rock Painting Steps

I just like to paint and draw, and I do it very often. Here is a link to when I painted rocks in the driveway with my grandkids. We had so much fun!

But, in the following steps you can take a smooth egg shaped (any shape really) rock, and make a cute little kitty (or as my husband just asked me…is that a dog or a piggie?) so…just have some fun. But here are some steps to help get you and your kids started.

I used acrylics.

You can also use paint markers, tempera or poster paints. It just might not be tuff enough to withstand the weather outside.

First you paint the entire rock one color. I used blue. Then add the circle for the head and add the details as you see in the following images.
