Here’s how I drew a little kitty to make a valentine for someone who I think is purr-fect.
Draw a circle for the belly, making sure to use a Whisper Line. (so you can easily erase all of the guidelines that you make).
Next draw another circle, using the image in the Draw Page below to show you how big to make it and where to put it. Then draw the arms, I made one of my kitty’s arm by the side and the other waving high!
Starting near the kitty’s belly, draw a line down to make the legs, using the image in the Draw Page below…to see how & where. And then make the second leg.
Now make the tail…you can make any kind of tail that you’d like…I made mine fall to the ground and curl in front.
Next draw some ears. Give them an inside and an outside.
It’s starting to look good!
Now for the face… I made an oval for the mouth area. And a cute little triangular nose, and a smiling mouth. Erase all of the unwanted lines and darken any lines you like, or add any details that you’d like. Cleaning up your art work.

And now for more fun add COLOR!!!!
I used watercolors, but you can use colored pencils, crayons, markers…or even pastels…have fun! I also made mine into the above valentine, adding “You’re purrrr-fect!” “Happy VALENTINE’s Day”
I would love to see you & your kid’s art. Maybe you could scan or photograph your artwork and send a copy for us to add to the GALLERY page.
